About Christopher Guidry, MD, FACS
Christopher Guidry, MD, FACS, is a board certified general and trauma surgeon. He specializes in trauma surgery, surgical critical care, and general surgery. Dr. Guidry also performs robotic surgeries such as hernia repair to include inguinal, ventral, and spigelian, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colon resection, and colostomy reversal. He can surgically treat soft tissue lesions (cysts, lipomas), hemorrhoids, condylomas, and place chemotherapy ports.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Guidry then completed medical school at Morehouse School of Medicine also in Atlanta, Georgia. He pursued a residency in general surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Then Dr. Guidry completed fellowship training in surgical critical care at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Outside of work, Dr. Guidry enjoys spending time with his wife, Monique, and their three children, Katie, Kristen, and Kamille. He can be found exercising and attending professional sporting events.
