About Andrew Karpisek, MD

Andrew Karpisek, MD, MBA, is a board certified surgeon who specializes in trauma, acute care surgery, and critical care. With special interests in the golden hour of trauma care, traumatic brain injury management and emergency general surgery. 

Dr. Karpisek received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in Lincoln, NE. He then earned his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management from University of Nebraska, in Omaha, NE. Following graduate school, Dr. Karpisek completed his Medical Degree at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.

After medical school graduation, Dr. Karpisek completed his General Surgery Residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX and pursued specialized training through a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Karpisek enjoys spending time with his family. He can be found out in his Oak Cliff neighborhood, working on projects around the house or at the local gym.
